Teri Homick’s show, Dark Reveries, encompasses a wide variety of abstract ethereal works, including many crow paintings.
Teri’s current body of work features original paintings, embellished canvas prints, art inlaid wooden boxes, matted prints, greeting cards, and hand-painted leather bookmarks, keychains & unisex bracelets.
Her work is often described as abstract & ethereal — and often features crows. The additive and subtractive nature of her process with free-flowing alcohol inks often brings forth haunting figures subject to interpretation. When starting a piece, it’s impossible to predict the end result as the vibrant inks are challenging to control. Due to the inks’ growth in popularity, she began experimenting with many other techniques & mediums, including collage using pictures of her crows & altered Nat Geo pages, acrylic, pastel, charcoal, cold wax, and others.
