For April, color tends to be bold and vibrant, and subject matter is usually connected with happy memories.  She sometimes uses reference photos and other times just pulls a feeling out of her head and paints it! Part of her watercolor painting process includes letting a painting just sit for a while after it's finished to see wheather it really is finished or not.  She likes to use alcohol inks which are inks with an alcohol base.  They can be manipulated like water manipulates watercolor, and the colors are very rich.
